FLACS is a powerful tool for the prediction of gas dispersion and explosions in real process areas offshore and onshore. It combines an extensive library of fuels, the ability to import and represent complex CAD geometries as well as good physical sub-modeling. Combined with significant experimental validation activity and committed R&D, this has contributed to the wide acceptance of FLACS as a world-leading tool for risk assessment studies. Newer models such as those for LNG pool spread make it a more complete tool for safety analyses. FLACS is owned and developed by GexCon.
